Smoky Quartz Mala- 108 Beads

These prayer beads are made from smoky quartz, aka brown quartz. There are 108 beads on this prayer beads mala. In Buddhism the number 108 represents the number of lies that one must overcome to find Nirvana. There are three red counting beads in this mala and there is a tassel on the end. The tassel helps you know when you have completed one rotation, and the counting beads help so that you will not lose track as you move around the mala. This mala was handmade in Nepal. Each bead in this mala is 6 mm, the counting beads are 3 mm, and the bead on the end of the strand near the tassel is 7mm. This mala is 32 inches long.
