The Buddhist mantra, Om Mani Padme Hum is painted around the sides of this Tibetan singing bowl in gold, and there are Buddha eyes painted in gold on the inside of this singing bowl. On the bottom of the singing bowl there is a double dorje painted around a fortune symbol. The Buddha eye symbol means that the Buddha can see everything. There is a dot between the Buddha's eyes that symbolizes the third eye, and the nose between the eyes symbolizes the Sanskrit number one. The double dorje symbolizes the enlightened mind, voided of a beginning and end, and untainted in its purity. The wooden striker shown in the photo is included with this singing bowl, but the wooden stand it sits on is sold separately. This Tibetan Mantra Buddhist 9 inch singing bowl was handmade in Nepal. |
