Shakyamuni, Guatama Siddhartha Buddha Thangka

Shakyamuni is the first Buddha. The Shakyamuni Buddha was born as Guatama Siddhartha, in what is now Nepal. He was born as a price but renounced his old life to begin a spiritual quest so he could discover how to end human suffering. During meditation underneath a Bodhi tree, Shakyamuni reached enlightenment. After that, he traveled around India for 40 years to share his wisdom. He became known as the Buddha, which means awakened one. This Shakyamuni Buddha thangka was handmade in Nepal. This thangka is 34 inches long and 20 inches wide. This thangka is made from brocade material.
