Amitayus Buddha Thangka

The Buddha Amitayus is the principal Buddha who overcomes ignorance and evil. He allows his believers to fulfill their potential and find their true happiness. Amitayus is red like a ruby mountain, and he shines like a jewel. Amitayus holds in his hand the long-life vase that holds water, saffron, and food of the gods. In Tibetan Amitayus is called Tsepakme. Though it is sometimes said that Amitabha and Amitayus are one, in the Tibetan tradition, Amitayus is distinguished from Amitabha in the way they look, and in their respective philosophies. Amitayus is the Buddha of eternal life. This Amitayus Buddha thangka was handmade in Nepal. This thangka is 34 inches long and 20 inches wide. This thangka is made from brocade material.
